Well Jackie, how do you propose that the GOP or Conservatives show they care? So presenting the case that the country will not survive, not just for them but for all of us, more debt and default is not caring enough. So, in other words, pander to their selfish and individual desires regardless of morality or any sense of standards. If that is what is required, then we don't have to worry about elections, there will be no America left to worry about. Lincoln said that our purpose was much greater,otherwise all those brave men that gave their last full measure died in vain. I guess they died in vain. People should be ashamed, but that is politically incorrect now-a-days.

Nobody likes to lose. But defeats can prove advantageous if used as a learning tool. Newt Gingrich lost his first two congressional campaigns, but won his third. Twenty years after his first defeat, he changed the nation with the Contract With America.

Those who may be disheartened and dismayed over Tuesday's election results might want to consider this: Our nation is strong and resilient, and the results must be used as an opportunity to learn rather than an opportunity to lay blame.
