The reason for the apparent fall of the traditional definition of marriage really does not reside with Gays. Marriage as an institution has been severely in decline for decades. The 2000 census marked the first time that there were less traditional households with children than non-traditional households. The 2010 census showed the gap widened further from 26%(Non) to 23%(Trad) in 2000 to a 30-20 split now. In 1950, traditional households represented about 48% of households. The last two generations live-together and call it a matrimonial type commitment. There is no real legal recognition of this situation, but it is the growing majortiy. Thus, civil unions, as a subcatagory of marriage, will be the result, including same-sex.

Republican leaders have capitulated, pro-family pundits have caved, and gay activists have announced that their struggle for equality is just about over. Is it time for biblical conservatives to throw in the towel?

What a ridiculous thought. Why in the world would we do that?
