In Search of Conservative Leadership

Star quoted the most salient statement in the Chief Justice's opinion. While claiming he is for deference to the legislature, he proceeded to rewrite the mandate and penalty. At bottom, he makes no bones about it, he sees this as a political issue, not really a Constitutional issue. The message is clear, stop electing bozos like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid or suffer the consequences. So how do we get these people? Because we have become an urban and secular society willing to trade God given freedoms for a few crumbs of promised security. Ben Franklin said that a republic with democratic instutions survives only with a moral populace. Our nearly $16 trillion debt shows we have lost the moral high ground.
