I have been talking with the local resturant owners and managers. They are all quite aware or are making themselves aware of the coming rules, regs, and taxes. All have the same expectation, they will pass some costs on to the consumers. cut employee hours, and get out of insuring their employees and pay the penalty. Some, even chains, are already analyzing their peak hours and are thinking of shutting down each day during non-peak time periods like diners used to do. This, of course, means less jobs. If you include Cap and Trade enforced by the EPA which raises utility rates, some owners who are nearing retirement will just shut down altogether. This is the America you voted for, less jobs and less opportunity.

Passing on the costs of all these federal mandates and programs is necessary for these businesses or they will shut down just like Hostess.

Fewer choices and higher prices. Hope the socialists enjoy the new America.

Do you think for a moment that the "Gimme my free stuff" crowd gives a damn about unemployment, another recession, the national debt, or the dignity of work? No, they don't and that was proven in the election. What they do care about are welfare checks, food stamps, rent subsidies, free cell phones and usage, free health care and free anything else the Socialist-In-Chief promises.

God, I hate moochers.
Exactly two years ago this week, the Obama administration announced it had issued more than 100 waivers en masse to a select group of companies, unions and other health insurance providers seeking relief from the onerous federal health care law. The Obamacare waiver winner's club now totals 2,000. Where are they now?

Answer: In the same miserable boat as every other unlucky business struggling with the crushing costs and burdens of the mandate.

Among the first and most prominent recipients of the Obamacare waivers for favors were large restaurant chains that provide low-wage, seasonal and part-time workers with low-cost health insurance plans called...
