I live in fly-over country. Single digits and high winds with wind chills in the negatives. Some global warming. I guess it is a hundred and twenty down under. My comment is not logically correct or scientifically correct. But, it is my sarcastic way of saying that single or a few weather events, like a series of hurricanes, do not prove global warming. But, the Al Gores of the world went to great lengths to claim Katrina and a series of hurricanes were the result of global warming. Anyone that buys that tripe, I have something to say to you. Al took the money and ran. He was smart enough to get out while the getting was good, and you believers are gullible fools. Wake up!

Gee, I'm so sure global warming was the cause of New Orlean's destruction from Katrina; and had absolutely nothing to do with natural compaction of alluvial soils, lack of continuous replacement of the same, and pumping out the ground water, all lowing the surface to below the level of the ocean's surface.

Well, here's something that can easily be checked in public records: plants in Michigan, Wisconsin, etc. are now blooming up to six weeks earlier than they did when botanists first started keeping records there, in the 1850s or so.

Another easily checked fact: photos taken by Ansel Adams in Glacier National Park show far more snow than recent photos from the same vantage point at the same day of the year.

The effing ice age ended 12 thousand years ago and the glaciers have been melting every single day since then. This is simply the end of the cycle, it WILL get cold again, and YES MAYBE ALL THE ICE HAS TO MELT FIRST BEFORE THE ICE AGE STARTS AGAIN.
Liberals think they are educated, but 99.999% dont even know the climate history of the planet. ICE AGE 95% OF THE TIME PEOPLE For the last 2.5 million years it as been like clockwork, ten thousand years of THIS weather, 100,000 years of ICE AGE. in a repeating cycle.

WOW! The 1850s?! Such a long time ago...of course, that timeline only accounts for 1% of man kind's 'civilized' existence, and 0.000003% of the Earth's history, but - of course - scientists know better.

Never mind the fact that paleoclimatology suggests that almost all of Earth's history has been, on average, hotter, and had a higher CO2 content than it does now...but who cares - the last 163 years trumps everything. /sarc

can't see the forest for the trees.

Something’s amiss at the Department of Interior. Eight government scientists were recently fired or reassigned after voicing concerns to their superiors about faulty environmental science used for policy decisions. Which begs the question, “Are some government agencies manipulating science to advance political agendas?”

Fictional book authors operate in a convenient world, unconstrained by facts and experiences of the real world. The antithesis of works of fiction are scientific findings solely based on provable facts and experience. For agenda-driven environmental science, facts can sometime prove inconvenient. It’s far easier to advance an agenda with agreeable science, even if that means creating science...
