Dr. Sowell, give up, nobody in the media or society cares about facts. Facts are hard things and require the use of logic. It is all about what makes people feel emotionally good, regardless of the actual results or consequences. If people actually cared about the facts they would understand that making people dependent on welfare and free stuff is akin to the government being a drug dealer who hooks his clientele with free samples and then they have a dependent customer for life. Like the drug dealer, the government and the bureaucracy does not care about the customer, they only care about perpetuating the dependency and thereby their own existance and need for them. Facts and logic are dead. After the boomers, the deluge.

I disagree with your first phrase. To give up is not an option. Sometime in the near future the stuff is going to hit the fan and people will begin to wake up. And a lot of people are awake otherwise the Tea Party couldn't have had a large a crowd as they had at their rally, nor Glenn Beck had his huge crowd. Also witness the number of votes Romney got. And how many of the votes that went for Obama were fraudulent. I believe quite a few.

What we are lacking is a Republican party with more conservative leadership and someone willing to to counter attacks like those Obama made on Romney. Good grief, some were so blatently stupid that they begged a reply, which altogether too often didn't come. Even I, given a platform from which to

tell the truth, could have made a good argument against some of the many attacks on Romney. Why weren't they made?

Wasn't it Winston Churchill who said never, never, never give up? WW2 would have been lost if we hadn't dug our heels in and used some good American engenuity to win the battle. This country and our freedom is to precious to lose to a bunch of liars and cheats.

For the most part conservatives are smarter than "Progressives", so why can't we win this war? Yes, people flock to goodies like sea gulls to pieces of bread, but when the bread runs out the sea gulls leave. Let's outsmart and outwait the "seagulls" among us.

The war is becoming more difficult because the ignorant are gradually taking charge.
If everyone in America had read Stephen Moore's new book, "Who's The Fairest of Them All?", Barack Obama would have lost the election in a landslide.

The point here is not to say, "Where was Stephen Moore when we needed him?" A more apt question might be, "Where was the whole economics profession when we needed them?" Where were the media? For that matter, where were the Republicans?

Since "Who's The Fairest of Them All?" was published in October, there was little chance that it would affect this year's election. But this little gem of a book exposes,...
