Amen. Land of the Free has taken on a different connotation. The truth is very uncomfortable for Blue Jay and clee. There is nothing Biblical about retirement. Even George Bush seemed to only believe in 9 commandments.

The money you put in is long gone Clee. Sorry, you've been had, taken by other thieves who you have now thrown in with indirectly and unintentionally perhaps. I have often wondered what would come of my Baptist pastor if he were to suggest those in our congregation forego Medicare and Social Security and Trust in God. The founders tried to give a vastly different and better society and nation than what we have become. The Federal Reserve banking system, the 16th amendment, witholding taxes; the seeds of our ruin sewn by the turn of the 20th century progressives including TR, WW, etc.

Nail on the head, Thomas Sowell.
The Germans of the 1930s were inspired by the American left and its eugenics movement. We have already seen where the unfettered ideology of the left leads, it is the ideology of death (paradoxically what they fear most), and the absence of God (which explains their spiritual emptiness and hopelessness).
Don't forget world peace, child hunger, and homelessness. If only we could be granted the utopia you would create for us what a perfect existence...
Detroit already has packs of wild dogs roaming free, behaving similarly to their cousins.
Amen to that, rebirth of constitutional federalism.
Quick to secure parks and monuments, not so good with the borders. These are the same hate filled vindictive people who will soon be dictating your healthcare. We are dangerously close to having not just mandated health coverage, but mandated health care. And if you don't comply you will be "diagnosed" with a disorder and handled accordingly. Beware most people go along to get along, they never saw it coming in the 1920s and 30s, just kept trying to look the other way.
Agree, but we have to rid ourselves of those like Obama in control who would willingly take us back to the FDR days of our troops again practicing with wooden guns and cardboard tanks while pursuing social programs of equality. And IMHO it was Teddy Roosevelt who started us down this road with his arrogance and self importance.

In my opinion they didn't buy it, the ruling class rigged and won, progressives and the bureaucrats they empower. Conservatives are a threat to their rice bowl.

Very naive, federal workers protected themselves from that sort of thing long ago, their benefits and their jobs are their property and therefore they are entitled to due process before it could be taken away. I doubt anyone inside the beltway has the stomach for that sort of strategy even if it was possible. As long as she leaves with her parachute, that is all she was in it for anyway. She will also be free to get another job, government or otherwise and continue to receive her full benefits. Try that with your "Social Security".
