Besides, This shouldn't be a political victory, regardless of whether you're a republican or democrat, this is an AMERICAN victory. We did not tire, We did not falter, We did not fail.
Obama's resolve and commitment? Without a doubt Obama deserves credit for signing off on this spectacular and successful operation, but the news I've seen and read credits the interrogation of KSM and others, dating back to 2007. Intellegence sometimes takes time to develop, and in this case Obama reaped the political rewards of work others started before him. Work he himself condemned early in his presidency. As I said in the beginning, Obama did the right thing in acting on the intel provided to him, and should get a kudoz for it, but it was our military that put the bullet in the SOB's head. OUTSTANDING JOB...I just hope someone thought to put a pork chop necklace around UBL's neck before they tossed him over the side.

I formally apologize for not qualifying that the cheese comment was also a hyperbole. I'll keep that in mind next time. I am glad you enjoyed witty cliches, I'm always here for you.

As for the VA, I live near Ft. Bragg in NC, and I know many vets who will not go to a VA hospital because of all the problems with a government run system. For years, the VA has been the subject of investigations and inquires (remember the Walter Reid "scandal", for lack of a better word). Is this the shining light of government run health care?

And no, I don't think Congress should have the option, just as I believe there should be term limits in congress.

Is our health care perfect? No, absolutely not. But the biggest problem is...

If the overwhelming majority of Americans wanted a government ran health care, O and the leftist guerillas in congress would not need to run from one end of the county to the next, trying to sell it.

The bottom line: the majority of Americans does not want government involved in our personal lives or standing between us and our doctor. The politicians in D.C. are there to act ON OUR BEHALF, and if we don't want it, they need to vote it down.

If all of the flack over the health care reform is coming from the GOP and conservatives, why are so many blue dog democrates leary of it? Many have backed so away from Obamacare that they're no longer standing in D.C. (hyperbole)

There is a rising cost in health care because modern medicine makes medicine from the '60s thru the '80s look like the dark ages (another hyperbole).

The number of procedures and medication available to patients and doctors in mind boggling. But these things cost money. Thats why insurance is much higher than 20-30 years ago.

And don't give me the "some people can't afford health insurance". Some can afford it, but elect not to have it. Some are young people who feel like the will...

none of you believed them [polls]when your 'guy' was down

Maybe its just a case of good-ol' fashion "back at ya'". Liberals L-O-V-E to throw polls around when it suits them. Now some Polls show Americans are becoming disenfrancised with Obama, and are waking up to his dishonest and his power grabs.

Ever heard the of the phrase that starts "What's good for the Goose..."

"Let the Buyer Beware". Unfortunately, a vast majority of voters in 2008 did not think through their choice in canidate. The guy who does not pay attention to politics until an election year went along with the "anyone but Bush" theory.

Voters took Obama at his word, and the campaign trail is the last place you want to take a politician at face value.

Many republicans and conservatives opted for McCain because he was very moderate, and thought that was the formula for the GOP winning the white house.I respect Sen. McCain for his service to our country and the suffering he endured for the US, but he wasn't my first choice.

The result was the election of a soft-shell Lenin, who is driving Americans towards...

how much deliberation is needed? How long has it been since McCrystal gave Obama his recommendation, Four or five weeks? Afghanistan should be a top priority, and a decision should have been made weeks ago. Obama is exhibiting indecisiveness, not deliberation.

I'll make a prediction for you, friend. After KSM and other terrorist are tried in NY, and they get the opportunity to sit on the witness stand in federal court and go on a diatribe as to all the wrongs the US has committed,it will give obama and his cronies "an opportinity for inward reflection on how the US is seen in the middle east, to reshape US policy abroad, and how we can better our relationship with muslim countries". In other words, it will generate an excuse to further weaken the US, and immolate ourself for our enemies.

And as for the context of the article, it is very easy to be a candidate and criticize someone who is making tough decisions. It's not as easy to make those decisions when you are in the hot seat....

I've seen more independents regret their choose to vote for Obama than have felt vindicated in voting for him. What I did not say was independents were switching over to the GOP. As to where the DROVES will be in 2010 and 2012, no one can honestly say. And isn't the 23rd NY dist. still unresolved (I honestly don't know, messed up work week). But I do recall there was no doubt regarding the VA and NJ Governor races.

I was not talking about a pause or two, I was talking about ad hok, unscripted questions asked of Obama. Questions he had to articulate himself. "eloquently", is hardly how I would describe it.

And no, I didn't call "Your President" pathetic, I called his efforts to articulate himself pathetic. But...
