Its the oldest political trick in the book. Make a statement that has two ends. Either I am telling the truth about being wronged or you are wronging me by calling me a liar.

Conservatives slog throught the grinding work of the season and Liberals buy up all the playoff tickets to pretend to be real fans. Sorry just had to keep it political.

Politicians by their very nature are long on promises and short on delivery. It is their idealism that gets them elected. Their ability to make us believe that they are one of us and that they will act and speak on our behalf. This does not mean that they are leaders. Leadership is a quality not a position of state.
True leaders rise through the ranks of mediocrity through right decision and action. They will not lead toward where others dare not follow. It is not righteous or brave to charge headlong into trouble, nor is it unique or clever to think one has a monopoly on good intentions. A gnostic elitism emerges saying, "I know the way and I will make you follow. No matter what."

Smoke and mirrors are the tools of every illusionist. Unable to deal with possible nuclear rogue states our leaders simply smile and act as if the problem doesn't exist. "Look how much we have done!", they exclaim while walking and talking in cirlces. Iran and North Korea know what Obama does not, respect begins with fear.

Americans are a nation of choice. The option to own a Toyota, an Audi, a Ford is made by us and we like to feel as if we made a good decision. What we tend to hate is when the choice is not our own. Who to buy from, what to eat, who to befriend, these are our choices to own. We even smoke cigarettes now that we absolutely know the dangers. Our choice. There is no such thing as completely safe or hazard-free products but as long as we know the risks then we own the decision, side effects and all.

Fleeing the European mind set is what established this country. Proud, independent, strong spirited, hard working; these were once American qualities. Force fed policies like the ones we are getting from Washington lately will make these traits fade. The welfare nation will not attract the brightest and the best nor will it foster or nurture those seeking true success. Taxed to ruin to support an overburdened system, then when they have to ration healthcare we will see those death panels (of course they won't be called that, probably something more human like Treatment Living Consultation)

Pop politics at its worst...There is a line that this administration is not afraid to cross between what is right and what is easy. To berate an ally of the importance of Israel openly and toss a building process of peace upon the pyre of popular liberalism, is not a new trick for this bunch. For all their hatered of Bush cowboy antics they are quick to round up a lynch mob.

Pointing out that the liberal view point is forced to accept policy and public opinion when it takes the reins of government and can no longer Monday morning quarterback every conservative play and are now fully wearing the mantle of responsibility of current policy does not mean agreement with their choices. For a long time Dem's have played guerilla tactics in political war: Hit and run, hide behind civilians from return fire, ambush, and scare tactics. Like Castro, Mao and Che their popularity and rhetoric changed when they took power and now they have no where to hide and no one else to blame.
