Robert, you are a non-observant secular Jew....and I am a former christian who studies Torah . I left the church 20 years ago. I have found my home in the Judaism which you choose not to observe. It was a long journey, but I finally arrived. Look, history is history and many things cannot be denied - anti semitism is alive and well, and so is the hatred of christians and Jews in the middle east. People are scared because if we do not remain vigilant, history has a nasty way of repeating itself. I know people who freak out because Israel refuses to forget the Holocaust... They complain, “ Why do they keep on bringing it up?” Same reason others bring up 9-11.

I am not a great fan of Jessie Jackson, however, way before anyone ever heard of Obama, Jackson in one of his speeches said, and I am quoting as best as I can remember, "you are not a man if you make a baby, you are a man if you can raise, teach and care for this baby." So, our illustrous president did not originate these words, nevertheless it is about time he said something intelligent.
