Introduced in the Ohio House on October 20, 2009, the "Firearms Freedom Act" (HB-315) seeks "To enact section 2923.26 of the Revised Code to provide that ammunition, firearms, and firearm accessories that are manufactured and remain in Ohio are not subject to federal laws and regulations derived under Congress' authority to regulate interstate commerce and to require the words "Made in Ohio" be stamped on a central metallic part of any firearm manufactured and sold in Ohio."

GROVE CITY, Ohio — Police said they do not expect to file charges against a 75-year-old man after he shot a teenager who tried to rob him at gunpoint.

The shooting occurred Monday morning while Richard Maiden was taking his dog for a walk.

Maiden said a teenager approached him and asked questions about his companion, Vinny.

"He asked me what kind of dog it was and I told him," Maiden said. "And about that time he pulled the gun, put it in my face."

Maiden said he handed over his wallet when the robber demanded, but he also pulled out his own gun.

"I told him to stop," Maiden said. "He didn't stop, so he pointed the gun at me and I commenced firing."

Political commentators make a mistake thinking that partisan changes are coming yet. It is too soon. While it is true that many are awakening, the movement is not sufficiently energized to effect real change.

The majority of Americans are still asleep. They've deluded themselves with the hopes that Obama is really making their lives better.
