Can Republicans Talk?: Part II

For additional insight I second Dr. Sowell's recommendation of Burton Folsom Jr.'s book "New Deal or Raw Deal?" If you are still crazy about progressivism after reading this book, you may well still be crazy. JB

The Passing of E-6

Doc & All, What an interesting and eclectic set of commentary! Who would suppose E-6 in all its flavors would generate such a range of responses. Let me add, for those who may have forgotten, that time is an illusion. So continue in the Now. Best Regards, JB

The Mosque Controversy

There is no debate to join. The "screw America first" mentality of the current administration is well established. The mosque and supposed AZ human rights violations are just the most recent nails in the coffin.

Who Cares About Our Future?

I missed 'What Handouts to Cut', but I seriously doubt that I would have been offended or taken issue with what Walter had to say, even though I am 71 and drawing social security, having spent the first 70 years paying in to the Ponzi Scheme. I never expected to receive a penny from the legalized rip-off. I am astounded to be getting something back, but the fact that this blatant and outrageous theft has been perpetuated by generstions of legislators is simply mind boggling. We are DECADES late on letting the congressional thieves know that their services (sic) are no longer required. My hope is that the current attitude among the electorate can be maintained for a couple of election cycles so that at least a beginning can be made...

We are well on our way down the road to serfdom, but I doubt that many even know where it is taking our country.

Taxes and Voting

While I agree with Walter 99% of the time, I respectfully disagree here. For the first time in 50 years I have had no taxes withheld and paid no federal income tax. Frankly Walter, I don't give a damn about taxes. I am focused on federal spending which hopefully has not already fubared our economy irrevokably. I subscribe to the solution that requires voting against ever incumbent until 1) wasteful spending ceases and 2) term limits are enacted.

Too Many Apologies

As always your observations are money. We could even apply your opinion to that schlub Harry Reid for his unemployment=abuse stupidity and the ensuing clamor for an apology.

Get over it people. Get a life and don't you dare abuse anyone if you are unemployed!

Well said, for an ordinary citizen. If the extraordinary politician had any clue whatsoever we could get on with our lives without having to devise ways to combat their destructive impulses. Haarumph!
