it depends on whether that person makes their money from investments or as regular income. We WANT to encourage investments,thus their lower tax rate. Besides,raising their tax rates just because they do better than others is NOT "fair" at all. Also,even if you taxed -all- the US millionaires at 100%,it's STILL not going to balance the budget,and you can be DAMN sure that the lying DemocRATs are NOT going to cut spending. Even raising their tax rates to 39% is going to adversely affect the economy. It's already been demonstrated,by Reagan's tax cuts. Worst of all,after you useful idiots fall for their bait-and-switch,the REAL tax burden will be placed on the lower and middle classes.
Can the GOP really be this stupid? It appears many in the GOP Congress are suddenly willing to raise taxes. What utter fools. As Forest Gump's mother (played by Sally Field) said, "Stupid is, as stupid does." And this is world-class stupid.
