Exactly,Comrade Obama's administration is dead set on going AROUND the Constitution and the NRA is just an impediment. After this election fiasco,they feel they have the political power to ignore the NRA,that the NRA will not be able to get the anti-gun representatives out of office next cycle. They feel,and perhaps rightfully,that their media power and election fraud allows them to negate the NRA's power at the voting booth.

IF people are not going to tolerate a new "assault weapons ban",one that also bans semi-auto handguns and hunting rifles. If they don't meekly accept the new ban.

(note the provision about only ONE "indicator" needed to qualify for the ban,and that one being "interchangeable magazine". that's most handguns and more than a few hunting rifles.)

The National Rifle Association has accepted an invitation from the White House to engage in a discussion as part of Vice President Joe Biden's gun task force. More from The Hill:

Biden will meet Wednesday with gun-safety organizations and shooting victims groups and on Thursday will meet with gun ownership organizations and sportsmen who use guns recreationally, according to the White House.

NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said the organization accepted an invitation received from the White House late Friday.
