exactly; it's redistribution of wealth; communism,theft. it's certainly not "equal treatment under the law". raising taxes on "the rich" does nothing towards balancing the budget or reducing the deficit,it's all about punishing "the rich" and dragging them down. Just like with estate taxes. it's just class envy. no valid rational reason for doing it,just envy and spite.
