I'm an orthopedic surgeon Christine. I can assure you we do not make anything close to $75,000/week. That is completely, totally, utterly ridiculous. As for cardiac surgeons being glorified mechanics - you have to be joking. Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. I worked and trained alongside these surgeons. They spent four years in medical school followed and additional 8 years of training AFTER medical school, averaging more than 100 hours per week for that entire length of time. The skill level and responsibilty are beyond what you can imagine. And that make nowhere near the amount you are claiming. NOWHERE NEAR! Trust me.
