The "War Hero" image will not help him this time. We in Arizona are so soured on McCain that he will be treated badly, war hero or not.
I think that Obama will veto most bills that reach his desk and then climb into his bully pulpit and declare that he is the only one that is protecting America from the dastardly Republicans. He can possibly resurrect his liberal rock star status. The Republican establishment will fail to counter it and the national Republican party could be in worse shape in 2016.

Townhall reports today that the Republican agenda includes "rolling back some Obamacare elements". So the establishment Republicans are already reneging. How are you going to retain your credibility when the establishment that you so vocally support craps all over us just as they have always done?

A Democratic Waterloo

The Democrats lost. I read yesterday that one of the first items on the Republican agenda is to repeal PARTS of the Affordable Care Act. The Republican establishment will lose in 2016.
I tell myself that I should be elated with the Republicans gains, but I don't feel anything at all. Individual Republican candidates won their elections, but the Republican party did not. The establishment Republicans will neither change themselves nor Washington.
I do not want to wish ill on anyone, but it would be most helpful if this nurse and her boy friend came down with Ebola.

I never watch Jon Stewart's program, but I thought it must have huge ratings because I see him on news sites almost every day. Maybe if the news sites ignore him, he will fade away.

"Though I have faith in the military, I wonder about their will to win." Win what? Why should our people put their lives on the line for objectives that locals will not fight for and the administration will just throw away?
Sure, our allies want us to fight their wars for them. During the first gulf war a Saudi was quoted saying to the effect: Why should we fight when we have our white slave army to do it for us?
