In response to:

Rand Paul Praises Navy SEAL Chris Kyle as a Hero

DS, This is where I agree with Ron Paul. Wars are about economics. If we had a rational domestic energy policy we would destroy them without losing a soldier. That's where I disagree with the Iraq war. It was necessary because our energy policies enrich our enemies while impoverishing us...which is insane. If Washington was serious about the war on terror, where the terrorist get their assets would be the first thing Washington would go after. Washington isn't serious about this war. They are horrible unserious people. It would be luck if we "won" any foreign objective we set upon at this state of corruption.

As I have explained before and will do again, there were many reasons for Iraq and all good...the oil angle is a manufactured canard by the people who just hate war. Here are the reasons for the war, as seen by someone who was there and seen the evidences.

1. Saddam was flaunting the UN agreements against him and was shooting at our aircraft daily.
2. He threatened us after we had the worst attack on our soil by foreign actors.
3. Seven other countries besides our said he had the means via WMD to carry out such an attack.
4. It allowed us to have a clarion call for those stateless terrorists to come and attack us in one place instead of chasing them all over the globe.

To DSMike

What you said is nonsense.

My favorite comment was No. 4. So the stateless terrorists are going to play by our rules and gather in one place? Preposterous.

Why was Saddam firing at our aircraft? Because we were flying over their airspace. What would you do if Iraq war planes were flying over the U.S.?

Do you have the slightest clue how many U.N. Resolutions Israel has ignored?

If Washington was serious and actually wanted to help the US, I would be better able to defend our action and attack Ron Paul.

But Ron Paul and noninterventionist are thriving. Not because they are right, but because Washingtonian incompetence makes them look like geniuses.

Neither are right.

Jason-Why do you think they aren't doing anything. They've frozen all of the bank accounts that they've found.

In light of the fallout over former Rep. Ron Paul's asinine statements about murdered Navy SEAL Chris Kyle yesterday, Senator Rand Paul told Breitbart the following:

“Chris Kyle was a hero like all Americans who don the uniform to defend our country. Our prayers are with his family during this tragic time.”

Ron Paul doubled down on his statements from Twitter yesterday on his Facebook page:

As a veteran, I certainly recognize that this weekend's violence and killing of Chris Kyle were a tragic and sad event. My condolences...
