It's not hard to see why "sensible foreign policy" is such an oxymoron today. When you base foreign policy on the premise that "those Arabs over there" only understand bombs, since they're clearly sub-human and completely irrational, sanctions and bombs are going to be your preferred method of negotiating. Dr. Paul is a person that would treat Iran as a sovereign nation with some legitimate complaints against the US-led international community. I just hope he makes it into the white house to begin the process of listening and assuaging middle eastern ire before another 9/11 happens.

As a Ron Paul supporter, I couldn't be happier -- as far as one of the candidates is concerned. I would absolutely put our country's fate in the hands of a man who is going to take a reasoned, peaceful approach to situations that threaten to arise in the Middle East or anywhere else. Far from "casually brush[ing] aside" the idea of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, Dr. Paul realizes that it would be better to deal with the situation peacefully rather than start yet another war that threatens to tear apart our republic.
I suppose the truth *can* be scary.
