So obvious! (The desparation...that is.) And how convenient. 1. Just two days after the worst performance at a debate of any sitting president. 2. 44 consecutive months (since he took over the presidency in 2009) with UE at an average of 8.2%, and now, one month before the election it goes under 8%? 3. No sitting president has ever been re-elected with unemployment over 8%. 4. 7.9% would have been too obvious! I've had the Alanis Morrissette song in my head since yesterday: And isn't it ironic...don't you think A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think... Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out Who would've thought... it figures

“The U.S. unemployment rate dropped below 8 percent for the first time since the month President Barack Obama took office,” reports the Associated Press  “a surprising lift for both the economy and his re-election hopes in the final weeks of the campaign.”

Yeah; we’re all REAL surprised by this.

According to the AP, Jack Welch, the retired former CEO of General Electric, said on Twitter:...
