Republicans Get Rolled...And Deservedly So

Neal, you have missed the boat on this one. No matter what Obama said, it was the recommended teacher activities on the US Dept of Education website, which by the were changed, that were patently offensive. The door was opened for teacher led discussions about the president-favorable or unfavorable. How often are we going to beam him up in the classrooms? Our children are not captive audiences and this was just one more over-reaching, power grabbing, self agrandizing stunt.
This has ceased to become a partisan issue unless you are an extreme believer in totalitarian government. Congress has neither the knowledge nor the proper motivation to fix what is wrong with the SYSTEM and preserve what is the finest healthcare in the world. Obviously from reading this bill, the stated goal of insuring the uninsured is so far from the real purpose of this bill as to be laughable. We need a million man march after we have barraged our elected officials at home all August. Maybe then Washington and the mainstream media will get the picture.

Health Care Facts Not In Evidence

Dan's points are well taken. As a physician and surgeon, I have started an organization (one of many with many private sector ideas) that is meant to offer a plan as a template for the notion that there are MUCH better alternatives than governmentCare.Go to http://www.usaHealthalert.org for some ideas. Why not a one year moratorium on new governmentCare healthplans to allow the government to prove they can rescue the ones they have (due to go bankrupt in 2014) and allow time for an American Healthcare Summit in the private sector, not politician run, nor lobbyist run, but real world run- to hammer out workable solutions to fix the system, preserve the care, and protect us all from those mandatory counseling sessions....

We are at armageden with healthcare. As we speak, Pelosi, Reid, Rahm Emmanual, Chris Dodds, and others are crafting a monstosity that will make HillaryCare look like child's play. The Baccus bill says nothing about actual quality of care. It is all about punative measures for "noncompliance", 30 new beaurocracies, and it treats humans as debits from the budget, which the government has essentially bankrupted. The next two weeks are critical. Everyone in every state, regardless of party affiliation, needs to fax, call, or e-mail ALL of their Washington elected officials. There are private sector solutions to fix the system and preserve the care- and OMG not hand over 16% of our private sector economy to the government. Four of the five...

"Racism" Has Been Made Irrelevant

Jane377 Wrote: Sep 27, 2009 9:47 PM
It is unfortunate, but the predominant racism today is Black racism. My first real awareness was Michelle Obama's now famous remark after her husband got the nomination. Not only have these two individuals had every imaginable door opened to them, largely because they are black (let's face it, what white could almost flunk out of Occidental and fine himself or herself at Colombia-Ivy League)they still hold a thinly veiled contempt for the America that celebrated their forward moves, all the way to the Whitehouse. Look at their associates, and you will see lots of angry haters- the very terms they use to describe those who disagree with them. The dissenters mount an argument, the Obama supporters, much like the thug mentality in Chicago,...
