The problem with that John is those benefits are already in place. Additionally, marriage has a clear definition - one man and one woman. The rules of marriage already apply equally to everybody. I cannot marry a man any more than anybody else. What marriage equality really means is re-defining marriage which smacks against the rule of law. Now, if the homosexual lobby in this country want to push civil unions, they would find a lot less friction. In fact, this is what most of Europe has done to make everybody happy. The irony is that homosexuals claim Christians are bigots and simpletons for pushing their moral judgements on them and society. Yet, homosexuals are happy to do the exact same thing about their moral judgement!
Democrats won big last week. So government will continue to grow. Individual freedom will yield.

At least some people with records of supporting liberty were elected: Sen. Jeff Flake in Arizona and U.S. Reps. Justin Amash and Kerry Bentivolio in Michigan and Thomas Massie in Kentucky.

Also, Washington and Colorado voted to allow any adult to use marijuana. (But users beware. Your newfound freedom may be short-lived thanks to that extraordinary human being in the White House -- you know, the one who smoked pot when he was in school. Despite promising that he wouldn't, he has cracked down on pot...
