That fake audience laughing and cheering in the background was hilarious!

You can't solve a problem you've failed to identify correctly. Our economy isn't suffering because of high taxes or too many regulations protecting the people and the environment. Our economy is suffering because too many consumers can't afford the products and services that the "job creators" are offering. Stagnant wages in the face of rising inflation is pushing more and more consumers into poverty, suppressing demand and stifling growth. The fact that the GOP refuses to address this honestly isn't surprising. The GOP is a puppet party, evident in the fact that the vast majority of their talking points and policies are written for them by propagandists and lobbyists employed by the multi-national corporations that pull their strings. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer because only one of those two groups have ever been capable of buying an entire political party to do their bidding for them. "If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, is it not possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it?" ~ Edward Bernays from the 1928 book Propaganda
