Fact: Exxon paid $15.1 billion in income taxes in 2010 Fact: Oil companies average $0.025 cents profit from a gallon of gas Fact: The Fed govt gets $0.184 cents a gallon Fact: States avg $0.30 cents tax on every gallon. Washington state had a campaign to use less gas by buying more efficient cars and using public transportation. The people responded.
