Unless Republicans wake up and challenge the ideologies of the left, they will never win the war against national indebtedness. While we rightly believe that debt will destroy our economy and eventually our country, Democrats do not. Instead they believe debt doesn’t matter because we never have to pay it back and government spending is just a tool to keep the economy running. They also believe the only value taxes have is to redistribute wealth.

If you believe this is fringe thinking, you are mistaken. Ryan’s budget or any budget with some measure of austerity, only holds them back from their utopia.

To fix government, to fix entitlements necessarily means spending cuts. And when those cuts begin to effect the mindless mass of Americans who naïvely believed they deserved their Social Security, their Medicare, or other unearned benefits, they too will cling to the pipe dream that debt really isn’t all that important.
