It’s nice to see comments on a blog of this nature. Yet some may have missed Michael’s point. We tend to make our public officials our public scapegoats. Scripture recognize three institutions ordained by God - Marriage, the Church and Government to which we are to respect, honor and devote ourselves to in reverence to God. It is a sad indictment that 50% who read this blog are divorced. And while 90% believe in God, only 18% of us honor God by attending a local church regularly. My point is rather harsh but it parallels Mr Brown gentle reminder, “...the answer to America’s greatest problems is looking at us in the mirror if we align ourselves properly with God and with our neighbor.”

If the elections were held today, I would vote for Mitt Romney rather than sit out the elections or cast a protest vote for a third party candidate. But I would do so with extremely limited hopes, and my very act of voting in November would be a reminder to me that I cannot expect the radical changes America needs to come from the White House.
