Senator, I support immigration reform and so do millions of Americans. Unfortunately, I think your missed a great opportunity to explain why the immigration bill is so important to the economy and sovereignty of the nation. Americans know what's broke and are looking for leadership that can fix it - not just agree that its broke. As for the air heads posting comment here, most are only parroting toxic nonsense which promotes gridlock and a continuation of the present policies.
This is what I have found as well. Because of loopholes, corporation income taxes are far less than 35%. Because many are public companies, their tax rates are published for everyone to see so I don't understand why this issue keeps appearing. If the tax code were revised - as it should be - these people would be howling.

There is still a health care market, it's just we are no longer the customer. The government is the consumer; we are just cattle in the pen. Pharmaceuticals, health care providers and insurance companies have manipulated legislation so they are only accountable to inept government bureaucrats which they ultimately control. We and our legislators are to blame.
Amazing, Since my grandparents were both poor European immigrants, they would never had made it if Coulter's solution were in place. What ever happened to "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, give me your poor..." People come here for the same reason they always came - for freedom and hope! Immigration needs to be controlled not stopped! Where we fail is by enslaving them with welfare programs. It's our loose welfare that needs restricting not immigration.
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,?The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" American exceptionalism not only includes the poor, it depends on the poor for freedom sake. Whenever we use protectionism to protect we lose our own freedom as well. Immigration control should be used only to slow immigration enough to allow simulation into our society - never to control who comes. I'm ashamed of some of the post here.

Your very short sighted. 2010 threw the House back in the hands of Republicans because people voted Republican. In State, and local elections all across the country conservatives are winning - not losing. Turn off the negative news and step out and talk with your neighbors. You'll find a very vibrant and conservative America.

Thank you, Kurt, for the pep talk. Just what I needed this Monday morning as I sip my coffee.
A two party system isn't always in the best interest of the citizens. Sometimes Republicans take a socialist stand and some times Democrats take a capitalist stand. The whole point of our republic form of government is to allow citizens to concern themselves with their own pursuits rather than be experts on every political issue. Referendums are usually emotionally charged issues that in many cases do not employ good government. If there is too many referendums, it may be a sign that legislative districts are too large and voters within them are not being represented adequately.

Still Shooting It up on TV

Sex with anyone anywhere is also prominent in the entertainment industry. We have children acting out what they believe is "normal" behavior and then we chastise them for not knowing right from wrong like the recent incident in Ohio. Non of this will stop because too many adult feed their own insatiable desires with this stuff.

It grieves me to read all the sanctimoniously post blaming the boys, or the girl, or the parents when we collectively condone or are at the least are unmoved by the promiscuous and adulterous behavior that is so prevalent in our entertainment. The stuff that oozes through our televisions worries me most because most parents allow their children access. Children believe what they see, that sex is something everybody does with anybody. They find out too late the horrible consequences when trying to act-out what they have been lead to believe is “normal” behavior. I say shame on all of us, we should be crying along with those two boys.
