Supply and demand is the cause of increasing oil prices. OPEC still controls the supply. The other aspect of supply and demand is refining capacity. the U.S. has been operating at 95% + capacity for decades. No New refineries have been built since the 1970's, and big oil has no reason to build them. Oil is not a free market commodity. Therefore, perhaps it is one industry that should be nationalized
When I was growing up back in the 1950's, when the danger of nuclear war was a reaity, it was trendy to have a fallout shelter built onto one's home. People not only supplied them with food, water, and medicine, but also with firearms and ammunition. By the end of the 60's, developers had to sell fallout shelter equipped homes by advertising them as having wine cellars.
If you are still alive, you have a living wage.
If one survives, obviously the medical care is not necessary. It reminds me of Thomas Sowell's article on "affordable housing. When he first live in a single bedroom in a boarding house, it was affordable. Now he has a much better house which is also affordable. All I ask for is an affordable Rolls Royce that is brand new.

Numbers, BHO wants numbers. Clinton also wanted numbers instead of good business judgement, and now we have a "housing crisis", although I know people who had save up as the bubble grew, who did quite well buying foreclosed homes on the cheap, which were then fixed up for a reasonable price. Property tax sales are also a good way to acquire property on the cheap.

I suggest reading Marc Levin's latest Ameritopia. You will learn who pays, and it will be us. Medical care is not rationed. The rich can buy better medical care, and they worked to get to where they could afford better health care, even if through more expensive insurance. There will always be inequality, even in China or North Korea, which is the epitome of equality through poverty and slavery. Since I already have medical care through the VA and my own health insurance, how about giving me a new house instead?

Well, I didn't vote for him, and I am a registered Democrat. At my state's Democrat primary, I will probably write in John McCain, because he has always been a closet Democrat. I suggest that my fellow Democrats do the same. Obama will still get the nomination, but we can sure scare the hell out of the DNC (interestingly, that term is used for an abortion procedure).
HOW IS IT THAT THIS FRAUD SCHEME GOT DISCOVERED IN THE FIRST PLACE?
And Democrats are gutless cowards who would rather pay extortion than defend the United States or insist that the government start acting in our interests.
"Millions for defense but not 1 cent for tribute." How times have changed. We pay extortion money to every tin pot dictator who comes along.
