Could Ronald Reagan Get Elected Today?

James2571 Wrote: Nov 11, 2012 7:04 PM
There is absolutely NO WAY Ronald Reagan would make it out of a Republican Primary today. NO WAY! In 1967 Ronald Reagan signed the ""Therapeutic Abortion Act", legalizing abortion in California, before Rowe vs. Wade. In 1969, Reagan, as Governor, signed the Family Law Act which was the first no fault divorce legislation in the United States. In 1978 Reagan opposed the Briggs Initiative, Proposition 6, which would have banned gays, lesbians, and supporters of LGBT rights from working in public schools in California. His opposition to the initiative was instrumental in its landslide defeat by Californian voters. Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act in 1986 which gave Amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens. NO WAY !!

Be kind to yourself and others Esther and if your belief helps you that's great. But none will bow down nor confess. No space of continuous joy and pleasure awaits us. Our bodies and legacy will dissolve away into the pure shining light of the void.
Well Eric, I would argue that there is no god. Never has been. Just another trick to manipulate you. Sorry. Obama won because he got the most votes. There was no "hand of god" stuffing the ballot box with angelic votes for Obama to punish this country. There's a new coalition and we will drag you into the 21st century with our votes. Tolerance for our fellow man. Compassion for the poor. Health care for the sick and unfortunate. Many of the things of which your Jesus spoke.
Look at the pdf file. Each ballot is counted as 2 cards. Hence when you look at the percentages, they are all over 100% for each race, not just Wests. That's because there was greater than 50% turnout for the election. If you go look at the vote totals, there are no vote totals greater than the number of voters. None. This is delusional!! This sort of story is why people were so shocked when Obama won. This media is telling you what you want to hear and running away with your money all the way to the bank.
I guess everything posted on Facebook is true?

Just a friendly reminder that there is no god. None, nowhere. Try to live a happy life and be kind to yourself and others. But rest assured. There is no god.

GOP Turns Sure Victory into Defeat

" Hollywood limousine liberal whose Republican stockbroker called today to tell me that he's bolting on the GOP and registering Independent because "I'm all about fiscal conservatism, but I don't recognize my party. They're just crazy people. Limbaugh, O'Reilly, all the religion...and if government told me what to do with my private parts I'd be po'ed , too." Seriously, learn your lesson." +1. There are too many extremists in the Republican Party. Go back and look at Ronald Reagan's legacy. Yes, he signed Tax Increases to help the budget. Yes, he gave amnesty to illegal immigrants. He wouldn't get out of the Republican Primary these days.

U.S. Navy, ET2 by the way. Everyone Idolizes Reagan, but Reagan now a days couldn't even get out of the Republican Party because it's become so narrow minded. The last Republican I voted for President was H.W. Bush. Since then the social agenda of the Republican Party has pushed me away. I hate to see wasted tax dollars. But even worse I would hate to have my daughter raped and forced to carry the baby of her rapist to term if she didn't want to.
Funny how things have changed. Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens when he signed the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Somehow 30 years later we still haven't done comprehensive immigration reform. Being intransigent in the face of the obvious will make the GOP more and more irrelevant. The GOP on racial issues! We had Republican Candidates for the state house saying that slavery was good for the African-Americans. Riots at college campuses in Mississippi and Virginia because Obama was elected. There's more wrong here than simple messaging.

No less than Ronald Regan gave amnesty to 3 million illegal immigrants with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. If the Republicans don't get their head on straight about immigration then get ready to be irrelevant in national politics!
