No, we can't go back. Too many parents have to work to survive and many would have no idea how to educate a child even if they had the time.

Former president George W. Bush said that he didn't pay any attention to polls. Sure he didn't!

The president is supposed to do what the current poll says the majority of our citizens want.
You complain that we all will eventually be classified as rich. You complain that the rich get loopholes that allow them to pay a lower rate than poor people. Then you complain that there is a penalty for every step up the ladder. So that's why you want to completely eliminate the income tax and go with what - a consumption tax?

There's is no death tax, only an heritance tax on extremely large estates. My children won't inherit enough from me to worry about an inheritance tax. Maybe you and your regular readers are that wealthy.
