Dr. Sowell - not only are your opinions based on facts and great logic, but they obviously attract others who use facts and logic to reach similar rock solid conclusions. The social democrats use emotion to present their agenda instead of facts and logic. The comments about this article indicate that you are a leader of many people who also base their judgements and conclusions on facts and great logic. From a financial, standpoint (increasing after tax dollars) LeBron James made a smart move. And most people only has to spend 183 (50% plus one days, excluding leap year) in Florida to have Florida considered their primary state of residence. In Mr. James case, since he performs his services in other states, those other states tax the amount of the income he is considered as earning in those states when he plays basketball in those states. However, as the article states, income from endorsements will generally not be subject to sales taxes. When a Kohl's advertising brochure that was received with a local newspaper featured Britney Spears on the cover, I called Kohl's corporate office to complain. I told them that one of my worst nightmares would be for my 10 year old daughter to start emulating Britney Spears and I thought Kohl's wanted an image of supporting families. Also, I would have to decide if shopping at Kohl's was a good decision for me and my family. I have told others about my phone call to Kohl's.

I know there are far worse examples than Kohl's - I have made it known to my children that clothing from Abercrombie & Fitch are not allowed in the house.
