Obama at the Rubicon

Mr. Buchanan is a defeatist, pure and simple. We are in Afghanistan to DEFEAT the Taliban - not ensure a US President gets reelected. Who gives a crap if the war has an effect on US politics? If we cede the war in Afghanistan, we open ourselves up to more 9/11 attacks. The Taliban will not relent - especially after winning in Afghanistan - ever. We've got to KILL them or at least make their world a living hell. Gird yourselves for more war, or surrender, there is no in between. We've got to find a way to win and not repeat our snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, as we did in Vietnam.
