Good job turning to the Constitution Party, something I'm sure more and more people are considering. It helped us get Barak Obama. And it will get us Barak Obama next election, too. You're throwing away your vote, ensuring the most extreme lefties win, but what the heck, why should you care when you feel "good" about yourself. The gov't will continue to lurch to the left, you'll continue to feel good about yourself while it happens because you'll think you're not compromising yourself. Great.

I'm not saying don't vote Constitution Party if a candidate can win, but if it can't you're a fool, who will cut off his nose to spite his face. Thanks to people like you we have Al Franken in the Senate. Feel good? That you don't...
Yup, blacks and hispanics can't be racists and socialism and communism are polar opposites -- and that's why communists acknowledge that the intermediate step toward communism (socialism) would have to be acceptable for a time. Why would the old commies think socialism was an advance over liberal capitalism and a step toward their sphere? But we're oh so sophisticated now...or at least the lefties are oh so shrewd in convincing our educated fools not to believe their lying eyes.

Aren't you wishing me ill by telling me to go to hell? Come on.

As to Roger's point, people are holding off on real estate vs. stocks because of the huge cost of one, and the cheapness of the other. Also, stocks don't require me to make a 30-year commitment. I wonder why Roger is so oblivious to this simple idea? If I lose my job, something that can still occur, I can immediately sell my shares of IBM, while my recently-purchased home may take weeks or months...and I may not even get any offers.

Got to love a real estate guy "jocking" real estate at such a time. Real estate can appreciate, but it may not happen for many years, with health care and the like coming down the turnpike. Buyer beware.
So we're told she supports Cap and Trade, only to be told she doesn't by Newt? What sense does this all make?

I suspect this battle is really about who is going to lead the Republican Party between the Establishment folks and Conservatives. The winner of this race will have a feather in their cap to show which is a stronger force in the Party. All the signs are there who the Establishment wants.

I didn't realize that Social Security was to be the ONLY means of support for you complaining seniors when you retired. Who told you that? Who told you, "Go ahead and don't save a dime the rest of your lives, because this will most definitely take care of you." Did you also refuse to buy a gun, build a fence, or put in a security system because your local police made that same "promise"?

Anyone in their 30s and 40s in the 1970s and 1980s has no excuse for not knowing the state of Social Security and failing to plan accordingly. Your indignation only proves it. You never fully grew up. Your parents -- or grandparents, perhaps -- were never upset that others weren't compelled to pay their medical bills. Maybe they were the...
As this country's leaders, Supreme Court Justices, Congress, and the President should receive better security and health care than everyone else. When is that not the case? Why is that outrageous? It isn't, but this is the way conservatives and populists play the race/class card to incite anger. I find it as distasteful as liberals abusing "the rich" in order to take more of their money.

Now, when these politicians leave office, they're not leaders anymore, and should lose their posh benefits, unless there is a significant reason not to do so...injured in the line of duty, terrorist threats to their safety, et cetera. There's no reason we can't be reasonable about all this without inciting anger and envy to make our petty...

So housing prices can/should never go down for very long or very substantially. Ridiculous lending practices shouldn't hurt the industry, economy, or community it benefitted so handsomely during the bubble.

The basics of economics don't change. You shouldn't own a home that costs more than about 3-4 times your annual income. Roger seems to want to return to the "good" old days when you could qualify for 5-8 times your annual salary, which is great for him, but not so good for the rest of us.

Banking shenanigans should not have been met with the attitude that we get back to the Roaring 2000s, but get to sound business practices.

This war has always been about maintaining normalcy: maintaining consumer spending, failing to address illegal movement of people, failing to confront contries that need to be confronted. Half measures never succeed; as such, it will never achieve the desired ends: a serious crippling of Islamism's advance. Can anyone imagine defeating Nazi Germany and failing to address fascistic Italy? We're in Iraq and Afghanistan while leaving Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt alone? It just tells me we're not serious yet about confronting all this. If the problem is over for now, great; if not, we'll all be back.
