Research has shown that over half of gay men are not in a relationship, that homosexual relationships are far less likely to last a lifetime and that infidelity is much more common (and is even considered acceptable) in homosexual relationships when compared to heterosexual relationships (5, 6). Moreover, domestic violence is much more prevalent in homosexual relationships (14). Obviously, homosexual relationships are really not equivalent to heterosexual relationships.
