Actually made me laugh. Yes the reliability of a source needs to be evaluated. A tabloid? The Onion? Alex Jones? The Flat earth society? Wikipedia? New York Times? All are known for multiple factual inaccuracies.

So using them as an unconfirmed source is risky to say the least when it comes to facts.

Further EVERY news source has a slant based on its editorial board and news staff. If you get a story from Huff Po it will have a leftist lean. From TH it will lean right.

Yesterday Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev answered questions from the FBI in writing due to a throat injury and according to the Associated Press, his answers indicate he and his brother were in fact motivated by radical Islam.
