How to Silence Talk Radio: Tax the Industry to Death

I just came across this article and felt the need to send a quick reply. I'm a student at Texas A&M University, a devoted Republican, and an avid supporter of the Performance Rights Bill (yes, I do not refer to it as the Performance Tax because it is not a tax!) It has absolutely nothing to do with killing conservative talk radio and is instead an intellectual property issue. Songwriters are paid royalties each time their songs are played on the radio, however the performers are not. The only other countries not paying the performers too is North Korea, Iran, and China... countries that are not the best to be associated with, in my opinion.
