To oracle1 - it's the "givernment." They give and give and give someone else's money and wealth to others too laze to earn it themselves.

Exploiting Public Ignorance

The problem is the public school system. The teachers are indoctrinated to teaching that the government is the answer to everything. This starts in college and continues with higher learning. Until the public school teachers learn the lessons of the Constitution, nothing will change. They attempt to teach the "Bill of Rights" but fail to teach limited government rights.

The public school system is full of anti-Republican, anti-conservative publications that continue to spout biases unseen by my generation. The Scholastic News letter bashes Rush Limbaugh every chance it gets; promotes the continued lie that women don't make as much as men and opportunity is limited; that blacks are still discriminated against as though it was...

Disaster in the Making?

Dr. Sowell: It's not a "disaster in the making," it a disaster already made. It was made on November 3rd, 2008. Now the only thing left to do is minimize the damage through damage control and I don't believe the Republicans have the political wherewithal.

Obama must have worshipped at the feet of FDR. That's the only plausible explanation for his actions. His grandparents may have fed him untruths about the Great Depression (even though they, themselves didn't live through it). Some of his activity and comments are identical to FDRs.

I think I would like to see a contrasting article from you about this subject. The Obama destruction of private property through the GM bondholder debacle and independent car dealers...
To Peter: The moral justification is that you decide, not some bureaucrat whom you have to "convince" in time or else. Maybe catastropic insurance is what we need to have. Although, I don't see anybody discussing this.

Medical Care Confusion

Privitize Medicaid and Medicare; don't socialize everyone's care!
All I saw during the campaign was news images of Obama crying out "I'm going to remake American," and no one asked him what he meant.

How, can we as citizens, not even ask the questions needed to understand our leader?

I think that around 60% of us are cowards and should be ashamed to call ourselves Americans. Those old, dead, white men gave us something that had never been done before in the history of recorded civilization, and we didn't even care to ask, "what do you mean?"

I would like to have a "beer" with the President and my first question would be "who and what are you" and why do you think you have the power to "remake America" and who gave you that power?

Even Bill O'Reilly failed at this one.

Endless Love

I quit watching ABC, NBC, CBS years ago. The last time I watched was in an airport - I think it was CNN. Obama made the statement that "he wanted to remake America" and the reporter didn't ask, "into WHAT?" That was the end for me.

I remember another instance when Cokie Roberts had been on Air Force One with Bill Clinton, and on the show This Week she kept gushing about how "Bill did this" and "Bill did that." My only thought at the time was, how sick! She's a reporter; not a teenager with an infatuation! But, I was wrong and now I see the exact same thing with reporters and Obama, only this time it includes all of the men! They don't have a clue as to what their job is and how to do it. They are only getting a paycheck -...

Get Back in the Kitchen

It's funny when you try to enlighten the "in the dark" students about where our rights come from, they run to someone in charge and complain! This is critical thinking by our future leaders?

Surely they could draw the lesson learned that the rights they thought they had attained and given to them by the Chairperson, and then taken away by the Chairperson were not rights at all! Contrast this with the view that our rights come from a "creator" and they cannot be changed, molded, be arbitrary and questioned/replaced by some human (or government bureaucrat), and it baffles me as to why they can't "get it."

Feminists are participating with the atheists and the left to destroy America based upon the notion that "they" are...
