Given that our military is an entirely voluntary organization, is isn’t likely that a majority of voters, with no military experience, would have a clue of what it might be to experience combat. Further, if a girl gets raped while in theatre of operations, government will never share blame for putting her there. In the constellation of bad ideas, government serves up most.
Last week as a last hoorah, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta lifted the ban on women serving combat even though women have been serving in combat for quite some time. Now, a new Rasmussen Report shows 59 percent of voters favor women serving in full combat positions.
Most voters think women in the military should be able to fight in combat just like men do. But they still believe overwhelmingly that women need to pass the same physical tests as men if they’re in special forces like the Green Berets and Navy SEALs.

Such is war! Not pretty, not a good thing, nothing to look forward to but to avoid like the plague! But when it happens we must have a fight force that is just not projection but in actuality a machine made for death and destruction! If you must fight, fight to win! As stated by my Father who was a Pearl harbor Survivor and a US Marine that landed on two beaches during WWII! the most hard and loving man I have ever met! His word was golden and his wisdom pure! I miss men like my father!
Let them serve! It will be a joy to see it and I think the additional brain power and diversity of thought will be a good thing! Some of the bad things would be the rape and guys getting killed trying to save a woman when the firefight begins! But we can over come those things! Woman need this and I need to see them qualify under the most strict conditions just like a man! If women can women serve in combat. If not they cannot then women are in the rear with the gear!
