for one thing republicans have scared young people away from christianity. also, how do you expect to get votes with all the loony comments coming out of the gop? young people can see for themselves that you cannot judge people based on race, sexuality, national origin, or religion. until you guys understand that, just keep losing.

but Italians have white skin, they could easily blend into anglo america, blacks can't do that. All white skinned immigrants, Irish, Russians, Jews, etc were second class citizens when they first got here. But all it took was mastering english, getting an education or learning a trade, or sometimes changing your name and you're good as new, blacks couldn't do that, they were and still are in many areas discriminated against due to one thing, the color of their skin. They can't blend in and look anglo.
