Even new procedures for using the time clock at one our largest corporations can throw people for a loop. Just imagine how hard it is to change peoples' minds about "what I'm entitled to" vis-a-vis doctor visits, what with "free" tests and even "free" quadruple by-pass open heart surgeries! Who is paying for all this free stuff? People like you and me who have to actually punch in everyday and work in a sweat shop.

Also to his credit, he admired T.S. Eliot, especially "The Four Quartets." Another idiosyncracy--an interest in the Thirty Years War.

I personally came around to his way of thinking on the America First idea. But it took me a while. How could anyone have been opposed to our intervention in Bosnia, to the genocide going on there? He was, and for reasons that make more sense to me today than they did at the time. His influence on me personally was such that I wound up writing in Ron Paul.

Finally, this admitted "secular Jew" 's conversion to Catholicism astonished me but then not--a down to earth genius who started out as an English major.

I'm with Mrs Shriver on her "tough love" approach to competition--no pity, only love, but respectful of "tough" love.

I've been to these Special Olympics events at high schools in Texas; they are, I can tell you, worthwhile.

I'd like to compliment Gerson--no tough love here. He's a conservative after my own heart.

By the way, in many respects, his former boss, W, was also a conservative after my own heart.

Finally, we should change the Constitution so that one day Arnold can be sworn in as President! We could use a strong man, a very strong man with a big heart to match. (Not that we don't have one now--but one must plan ahead.)
