Not By Sight, But By Faith

You say: "The Kingdom of God functions best, said the One who ought to know, when it is invisible, or hidden. In his numerous parables, Jesus spoke of it being like a treasure hidden in a field (Matthew 13:44), or as tiny as a mustard seed (Mark 4:30-32). As for prayer, He said to do that privately, not in public "...like the hypocrites..." (Matthew 6:5-6)" Not a Tebow supporter, eh?
Thanks Pasca. I knew I could do it.
BK22 You could not be more wrong about filibusters. Here is a quote from the Times: "In the last two Congressional terms, Republicans have brought 275 filibusters that Democrats have been forced to try to break. That is by far the HIGHEST NUMBER IN CONGRESSIONAL HISTORY, and more than twice the amount in the previous two terms. These filibusters are the reason there was no budget passed this year, and why as many as 125 nominees to executive branch positions and 48 judicial nominations were never brought to a vote." http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/03/opinion/03mon1.html
Sure its news. It speaks to character, or lack thereof.
C'mon, Fred. You are arguing against yourself. You first argue that the Senate WAS in session, even though the reality was that one Senator every 3 days would gavel in for 20 seconds, and then gavel out. But if they were in fact in session, then they should have put the nominations of both Block and Griffin up for a vote, right? Oh wait- there was only one Senator there so they could not in fact conduct any business! So which is it, Fred? Were they in session, or not? The simple reality is that almost all Obama appointments are not even allowed to come up for a vote in the Senate by the use of filibusters by the minority party. Remember when you would always scream let there be an up or down vote on Bush appointees? Guess not.

SOPA Internet Blackout Reminds Us Of...

Did I say something inaccurate?
Yes, and that bill was written by Lamar Smith, Republican-Texas, who was also the primary sponsor.
Katie- So you don't like SOPA, a bill that was written by Lamar Smith (Republican, Texas)? OK.
Its John who used it in his article. Not me. I just reported the facts. Any disagreement that it was 6000 under Bush and 12000 under Obama?
Hey Bill. The stock market tanked in September of 08. Last 3 1/2 months of Bush. We started to shed 700,000 jobs per month then, and it continued for a bit. Now we are adding jobs. I've got a great idea- lets vote back into office the party that presided over the near depression, rather than the one that started the recovery. Peter says its a recovery after all.
