Two issues here: police power (the abuse thereof) and racism. The racism part is bs, for sure. And for the "President" to inject himself into the situation was immature, petty, and racist, to boot. On the other issue, some cops have a tough job, and some are courageous public servants, but I'm sick of jack-booted thugs. Got arrested when I was 25 (I'm 55 now) for taking a picture of a cop at a county fair and having words about it with the cop (I was working on a college photography assignment). The charge: disorderly conduct. Dismissed by the judge. Live free or die.
