Took time to read through the entire thread again. Your arguments ae incredibly old, used, naive and (as Bulldog33 stated) "administrative". I spent my own few years in the US Armed Forces, both as a regular and another 15 in the reserves. You appear to be one of those commissioned who was pretty much in the way way when real things needed to be done. Cost us much then, costing us much now. Best, Jack

Couldn't resist, eh, Hal? Look, I assume you are the regular Scranton, PA based blogger to the Huffington Post and other left of center sites. Given your long military and corporate careers and the experience such brings, its hard to level your mentality, far-left leaning and statements against right of center, traditional and moderate opinion, experience and convictions re what is good in the long-run for the U.S. You are one of those puzzles that we all have to put back in the box and sell at the garage sale. Best to you in the world your head lives in.

This "person" is nothing more than a baiter. Reading his posts fully is like listening to someone off their medication. Best not to waste time responding. The guy is one of those who likes to reread his own posts the most.

Nice! You sound like a "committed" idiot, still living in your own perceived past, not someone with whom the rest of us can work. We have an experienced military specialist at General rank asking for help for our troops and you tell us the "results look pretty good" Good God! What flavor is your Kool-Aid??

Sounds like the "progressive" commenters are a bit shrill in their own intolerance............

Pretty weak argument, Brian. From 2000 to mid-2008, we actually had a good economy, terrorist cells weren't operating inside the US openly, Iraq and Afghanistan appeared to be improving, people had jobs and consumers were buying. Then, the we changed Congress in 2006 and things began to look differently, culminating with the same Congress and the new President in 2009 tinkering with everything possible. Now, the economy is poor and not improving, terrorist cells are operating openly in the U.S., Iran and Afghanistan have deteriorated, employers continue to fire and not hire, and consumers have closed their pocketbooks. Yeah, real change! Well, we still have hope, but I see a lot of Obama stickers on cars in PA. I'd have removed...
