Yes it does make him a bigot, just as not wanting his son to be around black people, those with cancer, Indians, Philadelphians, Russians, Scientists or any other grouping would make him a bigot. I hope that his very NORMAL son can manage to function in a world where gay men do not feel obligated to hide their sexuality, especially if someone important in his adult life, such as a teacher,mentor or boss, turns out to be gay.
