Youa re stating NOTHIGN but an opinion, and you rarely do anything else. When offered the chance to provide facts, you tend to sidestep. Please provide your scientific support for the idea that homosexuality is a preference and not an Orientation. (like it matters)

Stan, you persist in ignoring the reality here. No one is suggesting Collins is a hero for being gay. He is rightly being given accolades for having the courage to be the first active athlete in a major sport to admit he is gay.

1) You would have to ask the people who engage(d) in gay bashing how they identified them. 2) I have no idea what you are saying. I have no reason to suggest you are a bigot, yet. And no evidence of discrimination. However, such evidence might take the form of you not admitting that homosexuals were the object of a great deal of discrimination in the recent past.

What is a lie about this quote from Leviticus “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. (Leviticus 20:13 NIV)

Stan, you are simply wrong on the facts of the case, and this conversation. For one thing,. as I am not gay I can't be playing the victim, now can I? And secondly, anti-sodomy laws were NOT put in place for health reasons but out of moral indignation.
my only reaction to this is "so?"
This has to be one of the most pathetic articles ever printed on Townhall, and that is really saying something. The suggestion that taking 5 minutes to congratulate Collins somehow means the Obamas are NOT doing the things Wright mentions is absurd. Is there some sort of class conservative writers have to take to make sure they avoid making sense? And, by the way, congratulating his makes perfect sense. For Wright, and the others who have tried to make this an issue, to ignore the reality that Collins is the first active athlete in a major professional sport to come out of the closet means she is intentionally trying to avoid the significance of what it means.

When someone proffers a personal opinion as fact, then sarcasm may indeed be the correct response.
