We created this country and willingly shared its bounty, this is what we get. Sad, we have allowed to many ignorant to enter, they will take us down.

Yes we "allowed" way to many slaves to enter. We told them to keep their black azzez in Africa, yet they managed to keep finding their way over here chained to boats.

That was an injustice done many years ago but they keep coming. One of my best friends is from Ethiopia and he tried for a long time to get here. He is a great example to everyone. He worked as a janitor in a truck stop while he put his wife through nursing school then she worked as a nurse putting him through computer programming school. I really do get tired of hearing the winning from the blacks going back over a hundred and fifty years to bring up slavery as to why they cannot get ahead. My black friend just went to work and all he saw was opportunity. The ones that don't like it here are now FREE and they can return to Africa anytime they choose. What a great country we have.

I hate the black whining just as much as you do, I just wanted to point out how absurd his logic was. I'm glad your Ethopian friend made it over here and is doing well. Hard working immigrants are a great asset to a country. I think we need a good immigration policy to keep the narcos out, and let the hardworking people like your friend in, who don't steal jobs (as if it's possible to steal a job, a voluntary contract between individuals), but create them by educating themselves and contributing to the growth of the economy.

I forgot who said this, but it was something like: "We will end the abomination of slavery but we will never free ourselves from the sin before God, and our children and our children's children shall pay our debt that we have in fact served upon them."

A far seeing abolitionist.

The Democrat party has turned that sharing into legalized theft and bribery.

National Journal’s Ron Brownstein provided an eye opening reminder in a column last week about the impact of changing ethnic demographics on America’s political landscape.

The flashing red light of Brownstein’s message is pointed to the Republican Party.

America is changing inexorably into a country that is less and less white and the Republican Party remains today a party whose base is overwhelmingly white.

Brownstein estimates that Barack Obama could be re-elected this year with as little as 39 percent of the white vote. He notes that in 2008, when Obama won with just 43% of the white vote, it was...
