We weren't tricked; it was the media, allied with the powers that be, who always stacks the deck for the presidential election cycle. They intend to have their own man in office, so they make sure that their two-party system is represented by their two candidates. They can't lose. Their agenda goes forward no matter who wins. In this case, it's chocolate or vanilla. You chose. However, it's not going to matter as far as our governance is concerned. The only thing that changes is the rhetoric--the speech coming from the White House. It is speech that polarizes us into two parties, and it is speech that controls our choice. The idea that we choose our leadership is an illusion generated by the media. They control the public mind.

speak for yourself... nobody controls me or my mind. not the media, not the POTUS, not any candidate. I think for myself.

Obama appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s show this past week and did a slow jam with Fallon and his house band—a brilliant move by the Entertainer-in-Chief. I thought it was both funny and smart.

From a comedy perspective, it was well-written and well-performed by Obama, Fallon and The Roots. In terms of cleverness, it was shrewd in that the young people who watch Jimmy’s show probably don’t—or won’t—follow the manifold ways BHO has hammered the U.S. through his policies, and the majority of them love to laugh.

Ignorance + a Funny Bone = Ripe Pickings for the President.
