Rich? A Look at What $250,000 Means

$250K is not alot...an average husband and wife, each with a Master's degree, making $125k each, gets here pretty quickly. And any increase at this level will make folks in this situation to have to make REAL choices...these people are NOT rich. But they spend money... I know quite a few nannies, cleaning women, landscaping workers, babysitters, etc that are going to lose jobs or have hours severely cut back.

Obama thinks you're wrong Ivan. He calls a couple who makes $250k in a year "millionaires and billionaires". Unless.....maybe he was lying to the masses??

We're not millionaires and not making $250K, but we do have a gardener and have had a housecleaning team come once a month or so - hired them 4 years ago when we had our 3rd child to help offload some of the housework. We'll be letting both go in Jan. Both hardworking minorities. Bummer, but we're able bodied and when the gov't puts the squeeze on us, we'll be trimming where we can trim. And liberals think that "trickle down" economics is bunk? They're about to be re-schooled in reality.

As Guy wrote about already, President Obama is proposing $50 billion in new spending on the backs of America's small business owners, otherwise known as those who make more than $250,000 per year. House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy is out with a new video today explaining why the "rich" tax hike Obama is proposing will only make a bad situation worse for those who are barely capable of being successful in this economy. "This is Small Business America," profiles S corporation owner Jerry Gorski, who lives just 15 miles away from where Obama will kick off his campaign today...
