That rule change at the GOP convention was more about the Ron Paul supporters going against who they were sent to represent to get Paul on the ticket. Don't believe me.. now he's stomping off with his toys demanding to be on the libratarian ticket. There are those out there that are willing to subvert their own party's rules to get THEIR man on the ticket, not to follow the will of the people they represent. THAT is what is scary, ladies and gentlemen. The fact that it happened in the GOP is telling. 1) that there are MANY factions under the GOP umbrella, which is not necessarily a bad thing; 2) there are those that are watching what is being said and done and go to lengths to maintain "order", which is a double edge sword.
humm, if you mean general "welfare state", you'd be correct in that. However, general welfare didn't mean give a person a hand out, it ment HAND UP, so we could be free to persue that life, liberty and happiness we were also promised in the constitution. ANNNND by your definition of what liberals beleive, why are they so against the military or the "military/industrial complex", that IS one of the FEW jobs of gov't mandated in the constitution as well... By all means SHARE with us please....
and yet, you yourself have nothing to say about the topic at hand, bubble boy...

No no he knows it. But by definition, which is what he is talking about, Democracy ISN'T mob rule, there is "supposed" order to a democracy, everything doesn't go as it were. By definition it is a noble persute (if you like that sort of thing) but in action, you are correct. Sadly.
