"Living in a democratic society entails respect for opposing opinions," That does (or should) include the "opposing opinion" that it is OK for plastic soldiers with guns to decorate cupcakes.
Justice would be for the Montana governor to pardon this man and let him go back to being a tax-paying productive citizen.
Sounds like Rob Parker wants to throw Martin Luther King Jr and his ideas down the drain! Does he think Rosa Parks and MLK and the Civil Rights heros were a bunch of pansies? Would he prefer our country return to the pre civil rights days? MLK would have taken Rob Parker out to the woodshed if he'd heard such bs come out of his mouth. MLK's life was spent trying to stop the kind of trash-talk we hear so much today when Americans of any color skin are integrated.

Newtown, and a New America

I suspect that "the depravity of their behaviour is lacking all humanity," was true 50+ years ago too. I think one of the biggest factors today is the fast, vast media! We hear about events almost before they happen and they are extremely sensationalized. The more we hear about these horrific events, the more desensitized we all become - paving the way for more such disasters.

Have the gun control zealots given any thought to the FACT that most, if not all, of these "massacres" occur in areas of strong gun control and in gun free zones? Gun Control laws DON"T work. Criminals DO NOT obey the law! It was already illegal to commit these crimes.
The Mother Jones story should be reprinted everywhere! It is an excellent example of gun control NOT WORKING. The mass shootings the magazine covers occurred in "gun free zones."

Don't You Dare Open a Door for Me!

Holding the door for someone is just plain courteous. If I am the first to arrive at the door, I hold it for anyone else wanting to come in. (So long as it is a not a non-ending line.) I expect, and usually get, the same courtesy - whether it is a man, woman, or child who first opens the door. As a 62-year-old woman, I am delighted when someone offers me assistance; I don't usually need it, but I don't dis it either.

Price gouging - taking advantage of circumstances to increase your profits. Do you suppose that there just MIGHT be some price gouging involved in: 1. Inaugural events???? 2. Increasing taxes to cover spending "disasters"???? 3. Movies that recoup their expenses the first week or month and everything after that is gravy???? 4. Super Bowls that charge obscene amounts for a 30 second commercial???? We all could come up with many, many more examples. Truthfully, none of it is price gouging - it is charging what the market is able to pay.
